The story of our wedding

Nick and I met more than 10 years ago. We've been through everything together: shared in our successes and failures. We moved in together and got our fur-baby, Teeka 6 years ago, and once we got our starts in our careers, he surprised me with a trip to Alberta and, on the top of a mountain, asked me be his wife.

We planned our wedding for over a year - everything was in place and invitations were ready to be sent out - when a global pandemic threw a curve ball at us. We waited and debated whether we should postpone, but ultimately decided that after 10 years, we just didn't want to wait any longer. So we cut our guest list to an intimate group of our closest family and friends and invited the rest of our original guestlist to join the ceremony virtually.

Our wedding day certainly wasn't what we'd imagined 2 years ago, but it was perfect nonetheless. We had what was likely the last warm day of the fall and my best friend was standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me to say "I do". That was all we needed.
