I felt absolutely radiant in my Essence of Australia gown. Walking out of the house to “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac, set the perfect tone for our love-filled and sentimental wedding. As soon as I saw Mike standing in his custom Farley Chatto suit (which I had not seen up to this point), it was like the rest of the tent was empty and it was just him and I. As I walked down the aisle, we couldn’t help but look in awe at each other and were so excited that is the person I get to marry!

The tent which hosted the ceremony was a clear top tent with clear walls – which we were so glad we had as the skies opened up only during the ceremony! The rain fell on the clear tent, surrounded by the beautiful landscaping and tall 150-year-old trees, creating a cozy and romantic backdrop to our heartfelt ceremony. Once we said our I do’s – we walked back down the aisle to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” while our guests headed into the barn for appetizers, drinks, a fun game of music trivia, and having their caricatures drawn! The rain stopped and we were able to take our stunning photos under the dramatic sky. We then made our grand entrance into the barn and enjoyed our first dance together. While Mike and I spent much of the night on the dance floor, we were so happy that everyone had a blast at what felt like one big family reunion! Many had not seen each other for nearly 2 years due to the pandemic so it was a celebration of love and family all around. Our dear friend Simone (Simone Denny from Love Inc.) surprised us with a song to start the dancing off right! We then played a fun game of “The Wedding Shoe” game and surprised the crowd and ourselves with our answers!

We did our best to think of every little detail to make the wedding unique to us! We had photos of loved ones no longer with us in little frames on my bouquet and my sister's (MOH) bouquet. We had customized hand sanitizer bottles, a custom beer label, and a signature cocktail, we made the guest book out of a large piece of wood that our guests signed. We made the wedding arch, the donut wall, the lawn games, and the most popular item – customized laser cut-out wood names for each person’s table setting…. My husband is very talented!!

Finally… what is a wedding without a hiccup? Ours came in the form of flowers! 2 days before our wedding, our original flower plan fell through! We were able to find a local florist and with 24 hours' notice, they created all of our wedding flowers from bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres to the arch spray and barrel flowers for the ceremony. We were so fortunate to work with such amazing vendors the entire day, and it wouldn’t have been what it was without them!

After the reception was over, Mike and I exited to a sparkler send-offz and the last song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life”, and we truly did.
