10 Oct, 2019The story of our wedding
We had planned for 10/10/2020, but we just couldn't wait! We kept the 10/10, but it was in 2019. We went to City Hall with our two closest friends, then took them out for breakfast. We bought an 18 year aged Weisers Whiskey, and we each had a shot and signed the bottle (Weisers ties in to how we met... I also bought him an engraved bottle for Xmas!) Afterwards, we headed up to Algonquin Park! Such a paradise for us. Only the night before did we acquire a tri-pod for our camera, from a lovely couple who gave it to us upon finding out we needed it for our wedding photos. We took them all ourselves! With a timer. We had actually gone up about a week before to ask the park rangers if they knew of any spots we might miss that we should make sure to venture to, and the two ladies were so helpful and helped us find some of our new favourite spots. We traveled the park taking photos at our favourite spots with such gorgeous fall scenery. And we both saw a moose for the first time - a mother and her baby! There was one spot, I had to pick up my dress and jump from rock to rock over a river to get the background we wantes. After sunset, we headed just outside of the park for a nice steak dinner, and then settled into our beautiful motel, where we danced and had a lovely evening. We got up at 5am the next day to try to get some nice sunrise photos, and we were treated to a beautiful mist on the water! It was so cold that morning, but the photos came out so beautifully (first photo!). We even went to the visitor center and they have a live broadcast of the fall foliage, and our family got to see us there from online! It was a spectacular day, just for us, in our favourite place to be. We go back multiple times a year, every season!
