Poor communication

I can't say much about the venue as my fiance and I never got the chance to see it. After sending an initial email the middle of January through wedding wire and their website we didn't hear anything until February 11. We responded the following day with some follow up questions and requesr to come view the venue. After not hearing anything after a week we followed up with another email and eventually left a voice message. To date (April 23) we have yet to receive a response. It looks like a lovely venue, but the communication is definitely lacking in my opinion. I understand that we are in a pandemic, however when I see that the venue is active on social media, it's a little disheartening.

Perfect Venue!

From the first email, to the first site visit, our rehearsal and our wedding day, Nathalie was AMAZING - She was super helpful answering all of our questions via phone, text or email since we were planning it all from Calgary. The venue is beautiful, doesn't need much decorating, the staff was great and our guests can't stop talking about how delicious the food was (which it really was!!!). Andrew and I wanna thank you, Nathalie, it truly was a day we'll never forget - Merci mille fois pour tout ton aide!

Poor service

We were super excited to visit the venue. After agreeing of a date and time to meet with Nathalie, we took the afternoon off and drove 45min to meet with her. We arrive there and her employee, who was clearly panicking, told us she wasn't there, that she was out to get groceries for the wedding they were having later today. We were a bit taken aback, but we thought: well it must be an emergency. Let's visit tue venue ourselves and wait for her to come.

30min later, she finally arrives. She never even came to see us, even though we were right at the entrance door. Her employee pointed towards us, probably saying that we were there. Nathalie didn't even come to see us and looked at us. She walked passed us multiple times and she completely ignored us. So after waiting 45 min, we decided to leave. If you can't take care of 2 clients at the same time, how can you take care of the gigantic event that is a wedding?

**BEWARE before paying a deposit**

***BE AWARE*** We put down a deposit of 2300$ to reserve the place and date for our wedding and we had to postpone a few times due to covid….in our contract it said it was non refundable, witch we understood…we reached out to the venue to see what options we have given the situation and they mentioned again it was non refundable and postponing would cost extra because it’s a new year…(again we had to postpone due to covid restrictions) We have not heard back from them since last November….they are not returning our calls or email’s….I get COVID was hard on businesses but it was hard on us to! 2300$ is not something we want to just throw away….

**ALSO, the owner wrote us back saying to send proof of payment because she couldn’t find it and when we did send the proof they never wrote back or returned the calls. ON TOP OF THAT, the contract is no longer accessible.
