Cherry Creek Estate encompasses everything a venue should have- beautiful backdrops, spacious accommodations, impeccable cuisine, and hospitable staff. We could not have been more impressed by our wedding weekend. Cherry Creek's staff helped with all the pre-wedding setup the day before, were available when needed and gave us space when necessary. Their menu, provided by local organic ingredients, blew our guests out of the water. They truly provided a one of a kind wedding experience that we will not forget.Sent on 23/10/2017

Stay away, save your money
The amount of professionalism that this venue is showing during this panademic of Covid-19 is an absolute disgrace. My sister in law is booked to have a wedding here in summer of 2020. Not allowing to rebook her wedding to a different date.. this “establishment” will not assist her what so ever. They are taking full advantage of couple who have put THOUSANDS of dollars into celebrating a special day.Sent on 25/04/2020
How could you bare to have a wedding where people can’t sit/stand next to each other and share this day. SHAME ON YOU. Not evening bothering to help these couples rebook there dates and have a ceremony everyone can enjoy at a safer date? Disgusting. Cherry Creek Estates is telling everyone we have to eat in our rooms?!? Who treats their GUESTS this way? Who wants to enjoy such a time in someone’s life by eating alone in our rooms. This is a shame.
I would be happy to NEVER recommend such a venue like this to other people. I will warn other brides to never have their wedding at Cherry Creek Estates.

terrible , unprofessional
Do not get married here . Completely took advantage of us during COVID . Forcing couples to get married with 45 people while all guests need to stay two meters away from each other and have guests eat in theirs rooms . Does this sound like a fairy tale wedding to you ?Sent on 25/04/2020

Do not book here
I would highly recommend NOT BOOKING HERE. All previous reviews written about how “great” their service was, was before this pandemic. Currently they are not allowing any sort of re-booking for 2020 couples and they are NOT providing any refunds. We are talking thousands of dollars. This is pulled right from their contract:Sent on 25/04/2020
“In the event of a national emergency or an act of God, cancellation policies will be null and void and the Lessor hereby agrees to refund the Lessee all deposits including the initial non-refundable deposit and other monies paid. Should a situation arise that the Lessor cancels or cannot uphold their original level of service due to the above-mentioned reasons, all monies and deposits paid will be refunded to the Lessee by the Lessor.”
In case people aren’t up to date on the restrictions laid out by BC officials, social distancing measures are still in place, at least until August 31/20, and event group sizes are at 50 people ONLY, that includes all vendors and venue staff. So people that were planning on having 150+ people invited to their wedding, are now expected to only be able to invite 35 guests or less. They are also expecting people to uphold the social distancing measures, which of course is absolutely necessary, but this means making guests eat in their rooms, no first dances or open dance afterwards and ceremony needs to have appropriate social distancing seating (I am not making this up, this is what they were told). WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A WEDDING IF YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING A WEDDING IS ALL ABOUT. No father-daughter or mother-son dances, a widely spread awkward ceremony, no reception dinner but rather guests sitting and eating in their rooms and no proper social wedding gathering? Why would guests even want to attend an event like this? Especially for those travelling from out of province. And couples are being forced to do this. They are not being given a choice to even move their wedding date to next year. Some aren’t even asking for a refund, they just simply want to move their dates to an open one next year. AND THEY LIED TO SOME COUPLES ABOUT AVAILABILITY. Saying they were completely booked next year and can’t move people. Well my husband and I did some detective work and reached out to inquire about open dates next year and they gave us five available dates. FIVE! That’s at least five couples they could have helped out during this hard time.
So couples have two options: 1) keep the wedding date so they don’t lose the money already paid and have these outrageous restrictions in place or 2) Cancel and lose all their money.
It absolutely baffles me that their board of directors thinks that THIS is still upholding their original level of service promised upon people agreeing to payments. This new situation is not what people booked for, the provincial limitations are not what couples planned on having for their wedding day. This is an act of God. How else would you explain this pandemic? It is a sad time in our world and people are struggling, but instead of showing any sort of compassion, they are forcing people to have an unrealistic wedding or be out thousands of dollars.
So my advice is this, Look for another location for your special day. I have seen first hand the lack of compassion this place has for their struggling couples. The scenery is one thing, but to be treated with this level of disrespect is another. There are so many other beautiful places for people to have their special day and these people do not deserve your time or money. You deserve an happy wedding day, and knowing what these couples are going through absolutely sickens me. I hope the board of directors come to their senses and work with these 2020 couples instead of forcing them into one of these two truly saddening situations.

Poor handling of circumstances during Covid-19
Cherry Creek is holding our deposits hostage and trying to make us get married under BC’s social distancing measures for our wedding date this summer. Instead of refunding our deposits or helping us with postponing our date, we face losing all our deposit money to Cherry Creek if we choose to cancel due to the pandemic.Sent on 29/04/2020
