  Fairy Tale Wedding

  We booked our wedding a few days before the pandemic came to Canada and even with all the changes and challenges, the staff at the hotel had our back. They were super accommodating with moving our wedding date. When our guest numbers dropped below the requirement for our ballroom, they accommodated us again and didn’t require us to change our plans. They worked with us.
  
  When one of the bakers the hotel uses in their package was no longer available, they accommodated us again by allowing us to hire a bakery that was not listed in their package that we felt suited our style.
  
  On the day of the wedding the ballroom was set perfectly. All our guests enjoyed the food. One of our guests wanted their beef cooked more and the staff took the plate without a fuss and brought it back quickly and cooked to perfection.
  
  At the end of the night the staff helped our family and friends with tear down, even after a long busy day. The staff did not have to help with anything but the hotel items but they lent a hand where they could and we are very thankful.
  
  All guests that stayed at the hotel were happy with their rooms. There was confusion with switching floors, costs of items requested to the room and payments. This was caused by recently new hired staff. After speaking with our event coordinator at the hotel, she quickly had her manager correct any issues.
  
  We could not have asked for a better venue.

  Beautiful Space

  I booked the Fort Garry for getting ready with the girls the morning of, and for photos. The hotel is stunning and the staff is great to work with!

  Beautiful ballroom

  The Fort Garry has absolutely stunning ballrooms, and we knew this was the backdrop for our wedding reception. The food was delicious, and everything was set up just as we wanted. Unfortunately, the wine service wasn't very consistent, but other than that we had a great time.

  Hotel Fort Garry was a great experience for us!

  The staff member we worked with personally was wonderful. We were disappointed that her holidays began the day before our wedding, so she wasn't the one helping us the day of our event. Things went quite smoothly leading up to & the day of the wedding, but we had a few hiccups along the way. For example, our guests getting a secured rate/room (they don't do room blocks), needing to book the largest room to accommodate our numbers because there's a gap in guest numbers in rooms (example - max of 250 in one room, but next room has minimum of 300) so it cost us more, and the hotel giving our honeymoon suite to other guests the night before our wedding when we had booked the extra night for the groom's stay. They made the room situation right for us, but I'm sure they upset someone else!
  Overall, it's a pricey venue, but the food is fantastic, there's ample space and photo opportunities, and they do their best to make every accommodation for your wedding. Our wedding was stunning and the hotel venue played a big part.
