The catering manager we worked with was fantastic She was so helpful and accommodating which made the task of planning a ceremony all the more enjoyable. The location was perfect for our event and we could not have had a more wonderful ceremony. Would definitely consider doing another event with them.

The Prince was a wonderful place to have a wedding. The food was amazing, everything was extremely organized and Lisa (the event coordinator) was unbelievable. Highly recommended!! Only criticism is that they wouldn't allow me to bring in an extra bar tender.

We were very surprised at how accommodating this venue is!

We've dealt with Deborah Moore, Director of Catering (647.259.3203). She was very helpful, and was able to think outside of the box, and provide us with very useful suggestions ideas.

We used a small room (50 ppl & small dance floor) on the main floor, The Continental, which has two glass walls overlooking the park. No extra decore is necessary; nice chairs, so can save some $$ on chair covers; nice white linens. The tables are set up with a round mirror in the center with candles on it.

The food was great! The Prime Rib was a very good size, and Chicken stuffed with mushrooms was a delight! We skipped the soup for the cold-cuts platters - very good call. The platters were very pretty with large variety of meats, cheese and veggies. Greek salad looked and tasted excellent and was a good size as well. Chocolate pannacotta was like a chocolate cloud melting in your mouth. At the end, people were so full, that late night snacks (open-face sandwiches and fires) were not even touched! Sandwiches looked very good and not as small as they look on the menu.

The catering staff was very efficient and on top of things. As they were setting up the tables, we had to change one table for a larger size - no problem. They brought in a larger table and set it up right away. The serving staff accommodated our requests of serving certain beverages to only certain tables.

Got special promo-rate for guest rooms, even though we only blocked 5 rooms. And dance floor was no extra charge as in some other places.

    Overall excellent reception vendor!

I would describe the Westin Prince as a classy yet modern venue. The main reason for going with the Westin Prince was because they will only have one wedding at the venue at a time. They don't split the ballroom or use other rooms to accommodate multiple weddings at the same time. This was a definite feature that sold us.

A second reason why I would definitely recommend the Westin Prince is because a bridal suite (which was on the PH level and included a bedroom, two bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen-like area and entertainment area) is included in the package. We thought we were just getting a regular hotel room. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised that they really meant "bridal suite". If we knew, we would have definitely booked it for the Friday night leading up to the wedding, as it was offered to us at the discounted room rate. It would have been a great place for the bridal party to meet and get ready.

We worked with Deborah Muise, the catering manager, on all of the planning of our reception and dinner. While her e-mails were short, we were always confident about our selection of the Westin Prince after meeting with her. She was very professional, a useful resource and a very good listener.

There are only a couple other things that we would like to communicate to brides-to-be who are considering this venue:

    - Don't be afraid to criticize the food at the tasting. You should expect the best and the way you like it. We had to go back a second time for a dessert tasting because we weren't satisfied with any that we had tried. In the end we went with the espresso creme brulee because it tasted wonderful, however on the day, it lacked the crispy top characteristic of true creme brulee.

    - Forget about e-mail. Be sure to talk to Deborah in person about your concerns. This way, it's less likely to misunderstand each other or forget things.

    - As for cost, for 135 guests were ran just under $20,000. Of course, it's more than what we wanted to spend, but if you asked whether we would do it again, the answer is yes. Honestly, this was such a great venue, that we're already considering a second wedding there on our 50th anniversary.
