Not only does Heather Mountain Lodge provide an amazing backdrop for a wedding but the staff at the lodge go above and beyond to provide exceptional service.
I arranged my wedding from overseas without having ever stepped foot at the venue before!! I was able to FaceTime their events coordinator at key points in the planning process and was also sent photos of decor and other key details. I had every confidence booking with such professional people.

We arrived onsite two days before the wedding day and we were warmly welcomed by Greg and Chantelle (operations managers) as well as the rest of the team in the lodge, the restaurant and the facilities team. Everyone was so friendly and very happy to chat and get to know us and our family and friends. That personal welcome absolutely made our time at the lodge and makes us want to go back for our next holiday!

Overall, I was anticipating a DIY wedding for both prep and set up but was pleasantly surprised and relieved with how much the lodge took on for us! The team helped us choose lanterns and vases for our centre pieces and also helped to put our welcome packages in all the rooms. They offered to go to the dollar store in town for extra little decor bits.

On our wedding day I had given my bridesmaids instructions on setting up the centrepieces and also aisle decorations but Chantelle and Gregg has already set up and had put things up perfectly to the vision I had described!! We were all blown away with this attention to detail. The little touches made our day and we were even welcomed back to our bridal cabin with a hand written card from the lodge and cold bubbly!!

The team was incredibly flexible! They even notified us of impending rain and helped us to bump up our ceremony time by 30 minutes so we didn’t get wet!! We made it through and the heavens opened during dinner rather than during our ceremony and pictures.

One of the most important aspects of the our days at the lodge and the thing that all our guests are still talking about is the food. Throughout our time we had 2 buffet dinners, an a la carte dinner and daily breakfast and lunches. The food each day was perfection with delicious flavours and fresh produce - I am still dreaming about the cedar plank salmon which was served at our wedding. Our guests were also blown away with the exceptional flavour and presentation of food and I am not kidding when I say they still talk about the food!!

All in all we had an exceptional wedding day hosted by Heather Mountain Lodge and have been singing their praises everywhere we have been following the wedding.
We felt warmly welcomed and incredibly relaxed in the capable hands of all the staff and can’t wait to come back for our future family holidays.

This past summer, my husband and I got married at Heather Mountain Lodge. Us and our guests had a fantastic time. Getting the chance to have everyone in one place, in the mountains for the whole weekend was awesome. Its a beautiful setting for a ceremony, reception and wedding photos. The staff at the lodge were great, particularly the chef and events manager. The meal they prepared for us was really impressive. They were also very helpful with setting up decor on the wedding day. Nothing but great things to say about having a wedding here!
