Stunning views & romantic charm in chic west coast hotel

We booked our wedding reception at Harbour House Hotel on Saltspring, Island, BC for about 90 guests. What we loved most about this venue was the location and walkability.

From the moment we arrived until we left we were in great hands! The place itself just went through a large renovation so the rooms and entrance are modern with a chic west-coast feel. All our flowers, food, wine and beer was local which was really important to us. Staff were excellent, personable and professional.

Their outdoor restaurant space is stunning with a large fireplace. The reception room is sleek and modern, but plan for some additional decorating to really make the room special. We hung wisteria and lanterns from the ceiling, and made hoop chandeliers to add a pop of romance and color.

The room itself closes a little early, so I'd plan a wedding after party at the pub across the street (Moby's). They have live music on the weekend and we had a blast dancing there after the reception ended.

We planned events for the entire weekend including wine tours, a stroll to the Saturday farmers market and kayaking Everyone loved coming back to the hotel and getting to know each other over the three days.

Hotel staff were flexible and accommodating with room bookings, but getting to the island is a bit tricky for those unfamiliar with ferry schedules. I had a wedding website to help with this, and I would encourage guests to come the day before to allow enough time.

Saltspring is a laid back and beautiful place. Staying at Harbour House Hotel almost feels like an all inclusive experience and a great option for brides to be!
