Your wedding day hair - side swept or super symmetrical?

Joey, on July 10, 2018 at 10:05 Posted in Beauty 0 21

Do you like a perfectly balanced symmetrical look to wedding day hair? Or does your jaw drop for asymmetrical shapes? Which is your fav, and which will you personally be rocking on your wedding day?

Side swept and swoon-worthy?

My hairdo certainly won't be symmetrical, but it won't be side swept either (except when I'm sitting to avoid sitting on it). My hair is so long that it would look weird otherwise.

What I'm planning to do is something like the next picture, with my ends slightly curled and down my back. I might have to put my hair up in a bun later during the night because it really is impractical (and hot) to wear it down.

I went with asymetrical. Half updo pulled to the side. Half the hair fell to the front and half fell down my back back. I dont a lot of photos back yet that show my hair well, but this is the best one i got.

Side swept! it was the best of both worlds for what I wanted. I wanted my hair down, but I didn't want it on my neck, because I always get so hot and I have pretty long hair. I also have a lot of detail at the top of my dress that I didn't want to cover, now it is only covered on one side and you can still the back.

This is similar to what I'm going to do if I get a dress with a detailed back (which I'm hoping for!)

My bangs are cut on an angle (this was to accent my eyebrow piercing when I had it but I still keep it that way) so front will be asymmetric but the back will likely be more symmetric!

That will look beautiful! I am picturing it in my head haha

Sounds like our hair style will be similar. My veil will be tucked under my bun (only difference)

I am a little OCD symmetrical type of person. I will do a softer symmetrical version than the picture above.

I'm the same. It's not going to be "perfectly symmetrical", but I am doing a curled, more volume "updo", lower on the back of the head, with some loose pieces. My veil will tuck in on the top of the "bun" area and just cascade around my shoulders.

Ahh! If you're into the alternative look, you should do a totally side swept, undercut "look", with just a soft wave in the hair... with a beautiful comb or clip or something on the short side! Like a faux undercut, for a unique/edgy look.

I like the side swept look. I want my hair to be down and some swept to the side. My mother in law gave me a hair clip that reminded her of my dad so I’m very touched by her gift and will be wearing it for sure!

Definitely the side swept for me because I want to show off that nice keyhole at the back of my dress!

I'm struggling with hair hard, I've had short, asymmetrical hair for the last 10 years and now it's grown out to a bob. I'll probably just do short curls? Maybe grow the fringe out for side sweepy goodness.

I like the symmetrical updo! I will be doing one similar to the second picture but looser and more curly with pieces coming down by my ear so it looks not super done up

Probably side swept... everyone has a "good side" right? plus if I had it symmetrical then I would be concerned that it was off or too much to one side etc.
