We work together on the budget, but he is definitely better at budgeting than I am overall.

We're both pretty good at budgeting. I'm a little more frugal but she keeps me in check!

I would say both. I'm good at saving and so is he and we split paying the bills.

I’m the better budgeter bc I think im
more realistic and I can stretch a dollar.
And I ALWAYS win the “guess the total grocery bill” game at when we shop.

I think long term budgeting my FH is better, and I'm better at short term budgeting.

I like to do lots of little spends but overall not spend a lot of money. He's more restrained but then will blow it all on a big purchase. I think we're both actually quite reasonable with budgeting.

He is. I definitely Treat Myself way more so I sometimes treat him so something. His father is horrible with money so he learned how to live on a budget. Mine is a financial planner yet I'm not money smart like he is.

That’s a piece of cake. He is a spender, so it is definitely me. I am a spender as well, but still save money every month!

Me 100%! He is a spender and I am a saver. I stick to strict budgets and lists and he just buys all Willy nilly.

Though I was a single parent for 4 years and he is quite a bit younger than me and was always single so he never really had any reason to be strict.

I am simply because I've had to be. He's never been terrible with money and he actually had much more put away and a more stable footing than me when we met, but he never really had to live on a strict budget the way I have in the past.

He recently took a new job with better opportunities but an initial pay cut from what he was making, so it's going to be interesting seeing how he deals with having a tighter budget. He's gotten used to a certain amount of excess income which he will not have anymore. Interestingly enough, though, the income he is now at is about equal to mine so now he will be able to better understand how I've been living the last couple of years. He has been quite stressed out about the reduction in income, but I've reminded him that for the last two years I have been covering my half of our expenses on this income without struggling and even managed to finish paying off over $10,000 remaining in student loans after we purchased our house.

He is. He has always been a very good saver and always has money on hand because he is prepared for anything.
I, however, see something for my classroom and forget that I’m supposed to buy groceries lol

I think we're both quite decent at it. Although neither of us has tried sticking to a budget yet, we've both managed to save a lot of money.

Oh I know, I know! ME! When we first met I had a nest egg and everything - and he was in debt... lol as most people are after school. But overall it will be me looking over our finances. It does help that I am taking courses towards an accounting certificate though.
