What to put on a kids table!

Marcia, on July 11, 2018 at 18:41 Posted in Wedding reception 0 25
Hello Brides!
What kind of things should you put on a kids table for a wedding reception? I don’t have any kids yet so I’m not up to date on the latest toys, but I want something fun, affordable, and distracting for themSmiley smile! I already have crayons colouring books and construction paper. Any other cool stuff I can add?

The other thing at michaels I believe you can buy a giant pack of crayons for cheap especially if you have a coupon

That's good to know, I'm worried kids will start to get restless, so hopefully with the stuff I get and the parents bring we can keep them entertained all night! I'll check out the dollar store, thanks for the suggestion!

I think that should be fine. You could also go get a bunch of small toys at the dollar store or something.

I just had paper and markers for the children at my wedding and that was all I needed. There was also a space outside the reception area for them to run around if needed, which also helped.

We have construction paper and crayons as well and then we got the little play packs from Michael’s that have a little colouring books and stickers in them as well as the glow stick bracelets from Michael’s. We have cupcakes too which I think the kids will like

Nothing too messy! Don't underestimate just colouring books! Dollar store is a great spot to just pick up a handful of items.

Parents who know their kids are fussy generally bring some entertainment, toys or handheld games if they know their kid needs a distraction.

Definitely head to the dollar store for some inspiration. So many prepackaged DIY projects for older kids and toys and colouring books and activities for the younger ones.

If you have some slightly older kids what about a card game like uno or old maid? Stickers, bubbles, small puzzles are always good options for younger kids. Or have some pre printed cards for the kids to colour and fill in to add to your card box.

I am making some activity books with pages to colour, mazes, tic-tak-toe boards, and blank pages. I'm going to also mini packs of crayons (3-4 different colours in each) and some sheets of stickers.

Colouring books are good. For preteens adultcolouring books are great. I have a small wedding and it's just my nephews and niece. Was going to set up a mini tent we have and have kid things in it. If they are preschoolers anything Paw Patrol is popular.

Some games from dollarama since you don't need to worry about keeping it long. Drinking cups for every child would be nice.

We are doing a Kiddy Korner! My mon found a craft bucket at Walmart I think that comes with a bunch of craft and artsy things! We will just exchange markets for crayons in it! Also were getting space themed activity books (as our wedding is galaxy themed)
