Wedding postponed - how do i update my website?

Jennifer, on March 30, 2020 at 15:17 Posted in Tech support 0 6

Hi All,

We have just postponed our wedding from May 9, 2020 to September 6, 2020. I have changed the date on our weddingwire website but I'm wondering if I need to create a whole new website for guests to RSVP or if I can somehow change the current website. If I can change the current website, how do I go about doing that? I looked in the "Help" section but didn't see anything that was helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, we are so sorry your wedding has been affected! If your wedding date has been updated on. your wedding website, you should still be able to use your existing account. You can reset your guests' attendance to the default pending status with the following steps:

    - Login to your WeddingWire account from a computer

    - Hover your cursor over 'Planning Tools' and click 'Guest List'

    - Click into the wedding event you would like to update, ie. Reception

    - Click the 'Attendance' option from the top toolbar

    - Select all guests and click 'Attendance' from the pop up options

    - Select 'Pending' to reset your guests to the default attendance

The same you did with your topic here and put in the Tech Support chat so others in your shoes can let you know how to update the information.

On the wedding wire site there's a way to add an event (usually a rehearsal or a shower) so for the new RSVPs you could track them that way. It's in the same area where you manage your guest list. I think you can change the name of the event so maybe call it the new date to keep it straight from the other list.

Other than that you can change all the date info and put a post about how you've had to postpone on the site too.

That's great to hear youe date is pushed forward and the venue made it possible. Creating a message for Tech Support will be helpful to get the RSVP change and emailing family and friends to give the date change too.
