Use it or lose it? - Printed menus

Joey, on June 17, 2019 at 08:45 Posted in Wedding reception 0 29

Another way to upgrade your tables is to include menu cards. Will you have menus printed to give your guests the details of their meal, or is this something you aren't planning to include?

Printed menus - will you use them or lose them?

I'll have the menu card because the venue provides it. I don't think I would spend extra to make them up myself.

Lose it for sure, we'll have the menu posted elsewhere or guests will find out when they arrive at the venue.

    Lose It.

They can be beautiful and add a nice touch to the place settings but I think they are unnecessary. However that is possibly a bias opinion as we have a buffet style day for all of our food.

Use it! They come included with our venue booking because our guests choose their entree the day of.

    We haven't discussed it.

I am thinking leaving it as a surprise seeing as guests will RSVP their meat selection.

Something for us to think about and discuss.

Lose it. Guests are choosing their meals ahead of time and it's even more unnecessary paper.

Lose it - everyone chooses their own meals so we don’t need a menu.

Lose it. We did buffet style, and they labeled all the dishes, along with gluten free and/or dairy free

Lose it. we’re doing buffet style, so i will likely have descriptions of what is what to avoid allergens or dietary restrictions, but definitely no menus

Lose it. Waste of paper. You could do a board with what the menu is or if you have a wedding website have it there but not necessary to print out a copy for each guest or table.

Lose it. It's an added cost and amount of paper and I don't think too many guests pay all that much attention to them.

I would like to, but we don't know what will be on the menu until less than a month before the wedding. And guests are able to select from a few different courses, so honestly I have no idea what to expect.

Losing them. I've never seen them at any other wedding I've been to so I don't think it's necessary.

I prefer the idea of having the menu on a larger board somewhere than printing individual ones.

Lose it. We will be giving guests the option for their meal, so they will know the main. For majority of people who have been to our venue, they will know what the courses are. Pasta, main, salad, dessert!

Use it! It's easier for guests to know what they are getting as their plated meals with the sides. Any other information of late night buffet to know about without asking or inquiring.

I had 2 per table placed on bell clips.

Lose them - once again it's a waste of paper and it isn't going to change the menu... they can either check online on our wedding website where it says what will be available or they can see when the go to the buffet.
