Traditional or Twist: Parent Dances?

Traditional! I will be dancing with my Step Father whom I am technically his only daughter so I want to give him that special moment.

We'll do the traditional dances here - my FH grew up with just a mom so this is definitely a moment to honour her.

We are doing the traditional dances. I guess our twist was a bit in the planning though....we didn't make this decision; we left it completely up to the parents in question whether it was a go ahead or no go. Everyone wanted to do it, so now it's figuring out the songs!

Well- we will be having the “traditional” dances, except I will be dancing with my (future) father in law instead. He is giving me away as well. My dad passed away 6 months ago, so, this is a nice compromise.

I think we will be doing these, i’m not too bothered either way

We are doing the traditional parent dances as well. Mine will be a slow song with my father, but my FH is going to be two-stepping with his mom for their dance.

It'll be a twist of some kind, my mom is pretty much both parents for me so I'm likely doing a dance with her. My FH's family is back home and we domt know if they'll come, even if they do it's an odd dynamic so he might dance with my grandma.

Traditional as we had Mother/Sons dance.

We are both luck enough to be able to have had the traditional parent dances - Mother & Son and the Father & Daughter dance.

I'm going to dance with my mom, my dad is pretty against dancing haha.

My FH will be doing a mother-son dance and possibly also a special dance with his grandmother

We will certainly be doing the solo dances with our parents! My FH is the only son of 4 children so his mom has been waiting for this for forever and I’m the first born of my family so my dad is also looking forward to that moment!

We are doing the dances, but at the same time as my FH didn't want to do it ''solo'' with his Mom. Now we are trying to pick a song that all four of us like, it's going to be interesting.

We did it at the same time- parent/child dance. Neither my dad nor I like attention so we were happy to share the dance floor with my husband and his mom

We're doing the parent dances. As a kid, my dad used to dance with me to the song "Butterfly Kisses", so we'll probably use that song. So many good memories My FH will also have a mother-son dance

Skipping all of this. FH’s mom is the only one who has a problem with it but neither of us want to.

We are not doing parent dances. His mom has some mobility issues and would not appreciate being the center of attention. I am not inviting my father to the wedding at all.

We're doing parent dances. I have one photo of me and my dad dancing at my 8th grade graduation, and it's my favourite photo of us. So I'd like an updated version of it. Then of course FH will also have one with his mom

I decided to keep the dance but skip the scheduled part. The song for my dad and I (My Girl) will be part of our playlist so I can ask him to join me and out other guests with a little less spotlight on us.

We're doing parent dances. I know my dad is looking forward to it and I'm not sure if FH's mom remembers, but she'll be excited about it too once he brings it up to her.
