Anyone on here who has a morning or lunch wedding? Smiley smile I'm curious to see your timeline (including getting ready stuff even maybe?)

My first wedding was a morning wedding! We had roughly what the person below posted:

    7:00-9:30 - getting ready

    9:30-10:00 - travel to ceremony/reception space

    10:00-10:15 - ceremony

    10:15-10:30 - a few pictures

    10:30-12:30 - brunch reception (delish!)

    12:30-2:30 - Pictures at a different location

The ex and I wanted it short and sweet! It definitely fit the bill!

Thanks! This actually quite eases my mind, seems like it's not crazy hours like getting up at idk, 5 or whatever 😜

Having a morning ceremony/brunch reception but haven’t figured out the timeline as yet, and having a welcome dinner the night before sooooo I anticipate little to no sleep for 24-48 hours...*shrug* c’est la vie.

    Hi Lynnie!

Thanks for the link and your reply!
The ceremony will most likely take place at 10.30 or 11, the reception area is right next to the ceremony and we'll have it until 4 (I don't know if that includes building up and breaking down to be honest, tho I'm guessing that usually is included right?) but yea so we do need to be all out by then Smiley smile

Hi Lydia! You'll definitely have to get up early, but there would be way less restrictions on when you need to be done by!

What time have you been thinking for the ceremony?

I have been using the site A Practical Wedding to help with building my timeline. I think you will find it useful.

I'm still sketching out my timeline myself, but my rough sketch is as follows:

We get the venue at 8:00 a.m. and I'll help the girls in my family set up until my hair and makeup girl arrives at around 9:30/10:00. We'll finish set up and do some pictures once she's done.

We're planning a short ceremony from 12 - 12:15 or so, followed immediately by cocktails and canapes. Lunch around 1:15 or 1:30 and we figure we'll be done by 3:00 or 3:30 - but the venue is flexible on that.
