Hey all! Some of you might remember, but for my wedding I decided to go from dark brown (natrual)/vibrant red hair to blonde balayage in This discussion here!

I had my 2nd session last night and I can't believe how close I am to my inspiration pic! Below are the photos from the transformation to date, including the inspiration pic:

I'm going back in August for another session to lighten up some more and again in October to touch up before the wedding! I'm still in disbelief how close it is after 2 sessions!

If anyone is thinking about changing up hair colour for their wedding, definitely do it sooner rather than later! My first session was in April - 6 months before the wedding. Now it's June (4 months) and it looks pretty darn close now, but will definitely need another session. This also allowed room to correct if needed.

I usually spend 3 hours too, but for the drastic colour change, I had to spend more. Glad I've given you some hope - if you go to the same stylist each time, ask them about it too if this is something you are interested in!

Oh wow 6 hours! I’ve been dying my hair for years and the most time I’ve spent is 3 hrs. Maybe I need some kind of intense session like that as well. You’ve given me hope lol

So is my base colour! And it held the red colouring super well. For the first session I spent 6 hours in the salon - it would've looked a lot more brassier if we didn't do a toning treatment as well.

Possibly! It’s just so dark naturally and dyed with permanent dye on top.. so we’ll see lol

Looking so good!! I love that the brassyness is gone. I’ve been using my purple shampoo like crazy to keep my hair from turning yellow/brassy and it’s working like a charm 👌🏻
