Shoes - fun or functional?

Joey, on January 23, 2019 at 08:05 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 27

Which won out when making your wedding day footwear choice? Are you all about fun form? Did you choose something comfortable and functional? Or are you blending them both?

Thanks, I just took a quick look on amazon but couldn't find the right colours. I will definitely check out Etsy.

My shoes are almost identical to these (they are not converse) I love the idea of adding coloured laces though. I may need to look into that.

I am wearing a long dress, nobody will see my shoes so they are all about comfort. I will be wearing white flats.

I'm getting these babies. My oldest friend just got married in October and she said these are THE most comfortable heels she has EVER worn (she still had to swap shoes halfway through the night, but she NEVER wears heels). I am much more comfortable in heels and I also came up with a genius plan - I'm getting them a size up and then putting an insole in as well as heel protectors.

Mine finally came in today. Just waiting for my lavender satin laces to arrive now 😍💜 I did the uncomfy shoe thing at grad so I'm all about comfort for my wedding!

Fun AND functional? I want both but if I had to choose I'm team functional all the way! Nothing is worse than sore feet.

    I'm on the fence.

It would be so very much me to rock a pair of Chucks (converse), but I definitely think the dress would look so much better with a cute low heel. I don't want to wear 2 pairs of shoes on the day of (morning ceremony, and brunch reception), I just want to be comfortable in what I'm wearing throughout the day.

I'm also a size 12, so I find it hard to find comfy dress shoes, so I'll see what I can find and resort to Chucks as my backup.

The plan is to do both. Nice heels for the ceremony and converse for dancing!

Both! I 100% believe in comfort and refuse to sacrifice it. So what better way than to find funky comfy shoes?

Both! I have a pair of purple heels and then during the reception I got some light up sneakers for me and my FH to wear and light up the dance floor haha!

My Mom and I went Wedding Dress Shopping on a Tuesday where I said yes to my dress! The very next day, my Mom and I went shoe shopping. Our Wedding colors are silver, blush and silver glitter so these shoes just looked so unique and lovely with my dress. Our Wedding is March 23, 2019 and I'm thinking we should have chosen closed toe shoes but these shoes seemed perfect! This reminds me that I need to start wearing them around the house to get used to them👠

I’ll probably be going with heels for the ceremony, just to close that height gap! Then flats for the reception because I want to be able to dance without destroying my feet!

Mine are more fun than functional lol but I'm thinking of changing into flats at the reception for dancing. I also opted for the 3 inch option opposed to the 5 inch one, so more functional than for that reason.

I enjoy wearing heels, especially since my FH is still taller than me when I do, however for the big day I will not be wearing heels (I like how it looks when he's a lot taller than me) I will probably wear some sandals or just very basic flats #walmart

I think mine are a little bit of both. They are fun, navy blue and strappy, but yet comfy and functional

I will be attempting to DIY some regular wedge shoes into some glitter shoes like these!

If it works out then they will be both fun and functional!! (And yes, functional because I have a high arch so flat shoes actually do more damage than heels for me!)

I mean, I wouldn't say functional like your photo! Like I'm having an outdoor wedding but I won't be wearing hiking boots haha. I want to wear heels but comfortable chunky heels. And switching to cute flats for dancing!
