Online or IRL? - Accepting RSVPs

Joey, on September 10, 2018 at 08:58 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 21

Are you allowing your guests to send in their RSVPs digitally, or will they be mailing RSVP cards to you? Or will they get to choose from both options? Online or IRL?

Mostly online, but I'm sure some will call in their RSVPS.

Mailed! Wish we did them online though as it would have been easier to keep track of people and who they’re bringing!

We haven't fully decided yet, since our wedding is still over 2 years away, but honestly I think we will go fully digital.

Online Save-the-Dates and online invitations, both linking to the website. We may print one physical invitation for his Grandma, but other than her, everyone else is 65 and under so quite capable of both understanding and appreciating the convenience of online RSVPs.

Doing both! Younger crowd (our friends) we are going to tell them to do online and those more "traditional" will get another envelope to send back to use with the RSVP!

Online!! I'll be honest, my motives started off totally cheap, where I didn't want to pay another $100 in postage stamps for the RSVP cards... let alone the $20-40 in RSVP cards...

After making the decision, more pros came about, such as ease for guests to RSVP (many I think delay the chore because of needing to simply go to the mail box), as well as immediate responses, and it directs the guests to the wedding website for more information. Also eliminates anything getting "lost in the mail".

Online by email was our way of responding to make it easy and I knew I would be getting more that way to keep track of most of the guests confirming.

Online! Half our guests are overseas, it seemed impractical to do mailed ones. And we don’t have any super compute illiterate people except his Grandma, who is definitely coming

All online! It is more environmentally friendly and most of our friends/family are comfortable with doing things digitally. For the older family members, we told them verbally!

Online for the most part, we will send RVSP cards with the website info and they will have mine and my FH's phone numbers too so guests can call. We'll send envelopes to some of the older guests who may not be computer/phone savvy (only a handful of guests).

Online : Guests will be directed to our website, where they'll be able to RSVP and get information about the details (location, accommodation, etc.)

We did paper. For personal reasons we didn’t want to do online, and we don’t have social media at all! (Except I have this) lol. So we put a stamp on the RSVP envelopes so people could just pop them in the mail. We only had just over 30 invites go out. If we were having a bigger wedding, I would have done online

Online/ digitally. I find not only would it be more eco-friendly but easier on the guests as they will be able to either go online and RSVP or give me a call with their response. And it saves money.
