One thing that I didn’t really consider was that when I changed my name, I would also be changing the way I sign my name! One thing that I didn’t really consider was that when I changed my name, I would also be changing the way I sign my name! I went to get my new drivers license and when she said “sign here” I looked, saw my new name, and realized I hadn’t practiced signing my new name! I had written it out, but had never signed it!

Luckily, when I sign my name, I just do a series of lines/loops and my new last name is the same number of letters as my old last name so I didn’t have to change my signature since there are no distinguishable letters anyway.

Anyone else not think about this? Are you going to have drastically change your signature? Have you been practicing signing your new name?

I have been trying to practice since when I change my name it will be longer than my current last name. I still have a little bit of time to get it perfected, but I want it to look good because this will be the signature for the rest of my life lol!

    Tough stuff!

I haven't practised this yet, but now I feel like I should! Though I'm excited for my initials once I'm married...it will be MW so it will literally be a squiggle haha

Oh I know!!!! This is something I haven't figured out yet... my initials now are SM and I have created a really fancy signature when I sign my art!

And now I'll have to change to SD... gotta think about it! Also my FH is SD so I have to make sure I don't just steal his hahaha!

My signature now looks like a 5 year olds signature, so I am looking forward to changing it.

I have a very scribbly signature, so to go from Hauser to Neuhauser, I might just add a few loops lol

Definitely hadn't crossed my mind, I still do not think I am changing my name. I am thankful I will not have to consider this

I'm hyphenating my name, but I decided not to change my signature. I don't sign many documents anyways, AND technically, anything can be a legal signature (an X, a smilie face, a star, letters, etc) so long as it is done the same every time.
