DJ or live band?

I've never been to a wedding that had a live band, so I find it really hard to picture it. For that reason I'd probably prefer a DJ - which is what we will be going with (though price was a huge factor in that). My fiance's brother has offered to play guitar for us during the ceremony though, so I think that will be really nice.

DJ! My uncle DJs for small parties and is really good so he offered to do it for us. Also with DJ we are hoping to have Disney music played during the actual dinner. Not the actual words but just the piano of the songs. Light, casual and my FH and I are big Disney fans.

If money were no object we would have both, I would love to have a band at our reception. Most likely we will be doing the music ourselves, we both have experience doing music for parties and events so I’m not too stressed out about it.

As much as I love live bands I'd rather a DJ, which we have

DJ. We like variety.

DJ was perfect and happy with the songs. The vulgar language songs at the end were disappointing to hear as some guests knowing not to play asked the DJ.

Live band for the ceremony, and DJ for the reception!! I would love to have someone play the piano and acoustic guitar for us to walk down the isle

DJ! My FMIL suggested a live band like my FSIL had but it’s just not for me

DJ - I have so many favourite tracks from different genres that I don't think a live band could handle.

DJ for sure. FH and I love so much of a variety of music, that a DJ would be best. FH was in a band, and did a lot of stag and does, or playing at a bar, and although they were great, every song sounded the same!

I would have loved to have been able to afford a band but they cost over double of what our DJ costs so we went with a DJ... If money wasn't a part of the equation I would have went with a band though.
