diy placecard? Which paper stock did you use?

Carina, on August 14, 2018 at 18:31 Posted in DIY 0 10

Did anyone DIY your placecards? which paper stock did you use? or you bought the blank placecard? I'm planning to do the simple and rustic placecards, writing calligraphy, but not sure if linen paper is good enough (planning to do folded place cards) Any ideas or suggestion?

Thanks a lot!!

They layered idea is great to add a bit of colour too! If you're doing just a stock I wouldn't recommend going thinner than a 14pt as it may fall open if it's a lighter stock. The thicker the better! But then the scoring can get tricky.

I ordered the name cards off vistsprint to match the menu cards design. Table # was on it already.

I am making our place cards. I scrapbook as a hobby so I have my favorite paper. its regular card stock in blush or silver (haven't decided which yet but they are our colors) and it's from Stamp 'in Up. They also sell heavier cardstock which is more expensive but that's what I need to use making our favors.

We bought blank place cards at DeSerres and printed the names and menu choices with our home printer. It was easy and quick to do.

I bought blank laser cut placement cards. Then I printed off clear labels. Don't spend too much on it since they won't take up a lot of space and will only be used once.

I printed some nice cursive font onto card stock as well and mounted it to the folded blue paper card stock. I added a small nautical stamp on each one as well to go with our nautical theme! Card stock works well!
