DIY or Buy? - Save The Dates

Joey, on April 16, 2018 at 08:52 Posted in DIY 0 29

We want to know what wedding projects you're taking on by yourself, and which you are leaving up to the professionals.

If you're sending Save The Dates to your guests, will you be designing and decorating them yourself, or will you be ordering them?

DIY, we made them on old floppy disk (Ha. "SAVE" the date). The background with the castle is a stamp we got from Etsy that'll also be on the envelopes of our actual invites (also diy)

One of my bridesmaids is designing them and likely getting them printed and mailed for us too. So technically DIY.

I made them. I can't find a picture of them unfortunately, but i fpund some really nice fonts and typed out all the info, cut them into a rounded corner rectangle then foiled them using a laminator and transfer foil. Theu turned out amazing and it was a fun project.

We did ours up on paperless post. They had a template and so we just had to enter our information in.

We did ours through Vistaprint as we really aren't creative. It wasn't too expensive and they turned out super cute.

My cousin found blank invitations on a clearance shelf in Winners... of all places. We took them home, and I designed a text layout for her, and we just printed them ourselves. It even came with holes punch and ribbons to tie your own decoration on the invite.

Worked out really nicely, and they were in her Tiffany Blue wedding colour.

We aren't doing Save the Dates. And our invitations are being ordered from Staples Print Centre, so they are very low cost. But still beautiful!

DIY! We bought a custom stamp off Etsy and it was the best decision. Super easy and so personalized.

We created them online by ourselves but had Vista Print take care of the printing for us.

We are planning on doing magnets from vista print. I got a magnet once for a wedding, I thought it was brilliant! Haha. So it’s one thing I’m set on.
