DIY or Buy? - Centerpieces

Joey, on April 16, 2018 at 08:50 Posted in DIY 0 30

We want to know what wedding projects you're taking on by yourself, and which you are leaving up to the professionals.

At the center of your tables will there be centerpieces you've made, or are you delegating this task to your florist or decorator?

We're definitely making the centrepiece because I can't afford anything from the florist. It's wither going to be one long runner with candles or candles in vases with autumn leaves spread around. Whichever is the most doable.

I think I'm going to attempt to DIY the centerpieces. If I don't like how it looks then I will buy it.

A bit of both! I found super cute vases on sale, then we got our florist to do some extra flowers... we’re just going to assemble them into the centerpieces ourselves

I'm thinking DIY. We are going to have each centrepiece different. Same look but styled different in some way. So it'll be fun to create those.

I was frustrated for quite awhile because I couldn’t find anything online that reflected what I wanted.. after abit if tweaking I’ve found my perfect center pieces. The bottle and cylinder vase are both spray painted and there will be a table number and an ivory and blush flower on different sides Smiley smile

DIY! My future MIL is growing flowers for us, which we will replant into flower pots!

I think these are the flowers:

Making our own. We found a greenhouse to supply the flowers at a fraction of the cost and we get to grow them ourselves

I'm half and half doing my own.

So I made my own table numbers with some paper, spray paint and little logs. Then we'll have a stack of vintage books, some lemons and tea lights up and down the table and our florist will be supplying a chalise and some yellow/white flowers to go in it. It will look similar to this but i haven't put together a prototype yet.

Bit of both! The venue we are likely going with supplies a gold candelabra that we might use (to save on money) and incorporate some hand made flower arrangements!

I did the centerpieces on my own with a little help from my family. My dad spray painted a bunch of the flower pots for me and I purchased light up world globes to go on top. We also purchased some photo stands to put pictures of us around each place along with a vase which held the table names.

I will be making these myself. The cylinders will be filled with floating candles and flower petals. I hope they turn out. This is my "prototype".

DIY. We made our centerpieces: beer and wine bottles wrapped with a little bit of ribbon and with lights in them.

DIY. We have wood bases for our centrepieces. And then we’ll have lanterns and flowers on top. For the flowers, we just bought a bunch of different vases from thrift stores and we’ll arrange some flowers ourselves. It will look something like this picture, except with the wood bases on round tables instead of table runners.

We made the table numbers by ourselves and bought all of the candles and holders from a company. Our florist will be taking care of the rest.
