Crinoline for a fit to flare/mermais dress

Dionne, on August 28, 2018 at 16:18 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 12

I would like to wear a crinoline under my mermaid style dress. The consultant at my fitting said it wasn't necessary, but I want a bit more pouf in my tulle skirt. Any thoughts?

If you want crinoline added...it's your dress and your look! My friend bought an under layer skirt with added crinoline and it had a bit of a hoop in it to hold it's shape.

They do sell crinoline for mermaid dresses, I bet you could find it on amazon, or maybe a bridal store, I can't remember where I saw them but I know I've seen them!

In that case I would have them put a little bit in and see if it needs more. As long as you are happy then it will show on your face and not only make for better pictures but for a good time with no regrets!

In the picture it's styled to look more puffy than it actually falls in real life. When I tried on the sample it just kinda fell flat and you can't see the beautiful detail in the skirt

Just ask the seamstress when you bring in your dress for alterations. I’m sure it would be a quick and simple job for them!

It is totally up to you! Just make sure it doesn't make it too pouffy.

Do you by chance have pictures of your dress of before you add it? Just to give an idea of what it looks like currently (even if it is a stock photo from a website model).
