Great idea, I think the welcome table is the perfect place to put them. It gives guests a chance to check something out if there’s a little wait to sign the wedding book or wtv I end up doing.

    Maybe at your welcome table?
I like the idea of using family photos in decor. To me it creates a living room, home life vibe.
That’s so awesome that you’ve known each other since you were teenagers.
Feel free to share those memories of your younger selves here!

I say Yay! I definitely wanna get a couple shots of us as kids not too many though, just a couple, I’m not sure how to integrate them yet still brainstorming, but I liked seeing kids photos at wedding I attended. But we didn’t meet until my senior year in high school so I don’t want too many before we knew each other.

I got lots of pictures to choose from when we started dated when we were 17 and 19

I’m sure we will have a couple photos of us as kids during our slide show but I don’t think I would put them out as decor.

I only have one photo of him as a child on my phone. So he is a bit older than my pic.

We are doing photo boards on pallets. One of me through the ages. One of him. And then one of our relationship. We aren't doing a slideshow. I like this idea more, people can look at them for as long or as little as they like. Smiley smile Plus it is a cute way for the other family to get "familairized" or feel like they know your partner a little more.

And on top of the three boards I am doing the lyrics broken up across the 3 " Wherever I go - Whatever I do - I Was Born to Love You "

I love the idea of putting pictures of childhood on the welcome table. The better part would be showing it on a slide show as guests enter for reception open area and seeing them that way. It would start with childhood pictures and lead to the present time of where you are now.

Yes because alot of his family I haven't met vice versa for him and to have a little.history about both of us, I thought it would add a very personal touch to our day

Hahah yeahhhh. I mean, there's worse things to have as décor at a wedding tho. I've seen some questionable things lol.

We were thinking of having pictures of us at specific ages for the table numbers. I think now instead we will be going with places we have traveled to together as our way of "numbering" the tables.

Nay for us. I wanted it initially but then I thought it would be more suited for a birthday or something. It's not really about us as a couple.

You and your FH were such cute children!

We're probably not going to be including anything like that... it's not really our style.

What do we have to do to be seen as adults?! 😂 I'm glad I'm not the only one who experiences this!

    Right?

I’m in my late 30’s but I’m the youngest sibling/cousin who’s still seen as a child (even though, I’m grown and work and fend for myself).

Nay for me -a friend of mine did that for her wedding and even used it as her save the dates saying 'these kids are getting married!' It really highlighted how young she and her partner was and how unprepared they were for married life. Not saying it's the same across the board for every bride - but her experiences really stuck with me and I'd really like to avoid still being seen as a child on my wedding day, especially since I'm the first in my family to get married (and I'll be 31!!)

I liked the idea of doing photos for table numbers (table 1 - age 1, etc.) but then I thought about it and didn’t like the idea later on for us.

Its a cute idea though for sure! Gets people at the tables talking!

I hear you. Photos as components of a centre piece, or decor on a welcome table? Sure!

But for slideshows I just think of funerals and athletic banquets.🤷🏾‍♀️

Nay! My mom asked if we would do something like that at our wedding (after attending a funeral) and it seems strange to me. We aren’t celebrating my life, but rather my relationship with my fiancé.

Yay for me!! I was hoping that we could find pictures of us through our ages as our table numbers! Just hope we just can't have more than 22 tables though!

Its a naaaayyyyy for me! Children pics are fine but I am not into that "growing up" slideshow! There was a large period of my life where I was VERY unhappy with the way I look and would never show pictures from.

I do love when others do it! Just something 100% not for me!
