    I think this is a disrespectful tradition! a bride spends time and money on getting makeup and hair done only to look ugly for the rest of the wedding after the cake smashing? I would be SO MAD if my fiancée did that!

    Definitely cancel! If I am paying to have my make up done, I am not letting my groom ruin it.

    Keep! I don't care enough about what I look like. I just want to make memories. Plus my sister is doing the hair and makeup so she can just touch it up after. we're going to have people bet on who should get caked and then put that money towards are honeymoon fund

    We both agreed that this will not be happening. Our cake is not overly expensive, but enough money was spent that I will not want to waste it on my face or his!

    I think it's fun, but I think my FH wants to cancel.

    We were looking at photos from a friend's wedding and they did a cake smash, my FH said "don't worry I won't do that to you", though I was expecting him to do it since he has smashed birthday cake in my face a few times

    So cancelled - we agreed ahead of time that neither of us likes this. Plus I spent a good amount of money on my make up and why would I want to ruin it?
