Are you DIYing your bouquets?

Lynnie, on February 24, 2020 at 09:05 Posted in DIY 0 25

What about the smaller floral items, like your bouquets and boutonnieres?? 🌼 Are you arranging your own floral bundles, or adding some fun custom elements to the bouts?? Or are you lacking a green thumb and leaving it in the hands of a capable florist?

Are you DIYing your bouquets, or working with a florist to bring your design vision to life? 💐

This is the one thing I am paying a florist for. Just the bouquet and boutonnieres. All other florals will be DIY

I used a florist as I knew that making my own bouquets would cause me too much stress.

    Buying.
Going to do the realistic fake flowers from a seller on Etsy! :-) I do a lot of craft and art stuff....there's always a learning curve when trying a new one, and I am not crazy about the idea of adding that into the mix so close to the big day.

My mom and I will be diy-ing our flowers. My plan at this point is to find realistic looking faux florals and if that doesn't work out Costco!

I bought fake flowers and will be making the bouquet myself; fingers crossed it turns out as I'm not super crafty but wasnt able to find what I wanted from any sellers that made them.

I'll be making my own. I may enlist help from some friends to get something I like. I have about 1000 sola flowers to work with. I bought corsage bracelets to make my own and I bought magnetic boutonnieres to those as well.

I didn't want real flowers because I wanted to keep my bouquet for sure, so I decided to use silk flowers. My mom offered to put everything together because it is something that she really enjoys doing. The only thing that is getting done by a florist is the flower arrangements for the ceremony.

Florist all the way. I do not have the creativity to do this, better to leave it to the pros!

We are having a florist put together my bouquet, but the rest of the flowers (bridesmaids bouquet and decor) we will be doing ourselves.

We hired a florist. i really could not have dealt with the stress of trying to put together bouquets the night before the wedding. I'm not too good with plants and probably would have killed the flowers.

I am planning on doing that as well! Etsy has some great bouquets and costs less than someone local who also does fake flower arrangements, almost $400 difference.

We're having these professionally made. I wanted real flowers and we considered the cost of just buying costco flowers and diying them but we found a florist that we really love and she had so many great ideas!

I decided to use fake flowers for my MOH bouquet and found a pre-made bouquet from JJ's house that was really good quality and a great price. I ended up ordering a fabric rose bouquet for myself. I haven't tackled the corsage or boutonniers yet, but planning on DIY.

The florist is doing our bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centrepieces, flowers for my hair, and our cake florals. But I'm putting together florals/greenery for the rest of the other smaller details.

Not me personally - but my Baba did them herself Smiley smile She's a florist/seamstress so she had no problem putting them together.
