I am going to be wearing an elbow length veil but I'm not putting it over my face like they traditionally did though.

I haven't decided. I keep thinking that I don't need a veil for a relaxed outdoor ceremony, and I'm in my early 50's, so I can do without. And then I think about a simple raw-edge fingertip veil with my lace dress, and I wonder if I should go for it? Good thing I have lots of time to make up my mind!

I don't want to ditch this one, but I might have to! I can't find a style or length of veil that doesn't look horrible on me and goes with my dress/headpiece I have already (pictured below...Etsy is an amazing place for good finds!)

Definitely not ditching! I feel that’s what will really make me feel like a bride on our special day, and it will be a cathedral veil to boot!

Ditching! I'm pretty little so the veil makes me look too doll-like

Ditching the veil. Some veils are extremely beautiful but they are just not meant for me. While dress shopping, the lady who was helping me had me try one on once I had picked my dress. It just felt so weird and unnatural for me so I will definitely be skipping this tradition.

I'm wearing a cathedral veil with a blusher for the ceremony and pictures, then taking it off for the reception.

Surprisingly (to myself) I'm not ditching it Smiley smile

I didn't think I wanted one and I also have a flower hairpiece, so I didnt deem it necessary. My FH really liked them though which already made me wonder if I'd do it and then two of my friends offered to lend / give me there's so that was super sweet and already convinced me to probably do it.
But when I went dress shopping and they put a veil on me my father was super convinced and got it because I "had to do it" (said in a very sweet way) and I actually was set on it too myself when they put it on me if I'm being honest. It's a very simple one but it works great with my dress. I am only going to wear it for the ceremony though

    Ditching the veil!

My dress is an illusion back and very open. I do not want to cover it up at all. I will have some bling in my hair!

Ditching! I really love veils, but I had bought a beautiful cape, and the idea of also piling on a veil feels like overkill. Smiley smile

I am ditching this, I don't think a veil would suit my dress. I do have a really nice hair piece I will be using though!

I'm ditching this tradition. I think I am going to braid a hair vine into my hair and that's it.

Ditched the veil. I had a strapless dress with an organza wrap. The wrap would have clashed with the veil.

I reeeeeaally wanted a veil. And then I tried some on and felt it took away from my beautiful dress. I’m option for hair pieces instead.
