About The Young Estate
Mercara offers two properties, one by the waterfront and one with a setting on lush farm lands and rolling fields for amazing DIY weddings and other special occasions. Both properties are located just minutes away from Sandbanks Provincial Park, towns (Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington) and Wineries, these venues offers a combination of a unique farm and historical country experience for guests that create a lovely celebration. If you are planning on hosting a chic and rustic wedding on lush farmland with stunning views, then Mercara offers the ideal venue for you.
Facilities and capacity
At the Mercara Farmstead, you can host events in their 5000 sq ft century barn, or a receotion in a 1000 sq ft barn, or an outdoor event in a large event space with amazing views. The property will be available for events in 2019.
With the facilities found at Mercara Sandbanks, you can host a cocktail reception or have an outdoor ceremony. In the spacious mansion, you can find a 400 sq ft erstwhile ballroom and two fully equipped kitchens for convenient set up on the big day. Alternatively, at Mercara Farmstead, you can host events in their 5000 sq ft century barn. The property will be available for events in 2018.

This is DIY event location. They can suggest excellent caterers, chefs, event managers, entertainers, sommeliers and more. Caterers offer fine cuisine is offered with different types of set ups offered depending on what you want your reception to be like. Outside cake can be brought in and cuisine options may include buffet, cocktail reception, dessert, family style, French service, hors d'oeuvres, plated, servers, stations and tastings.
The site rental cost includes rental accomodation for one week. The accomodations at Mercara Farmstead include 5 bedrooms and more to comfortably accomodate 18 guests in 2018.
