The Lakeview Arts Barn, a contemporary arts space, is an ideal setting for celebrating rustic weddings. Once a working cattle barn, it was converted into a dance hall in 1967 and then became a theatre venue. Located just outside the village of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, this unique location has a removable theatre that reveals the original, gorgeous dance floor for weddings and other special events.
Facilities and capacity
The venue covers an event space of 7,000 square feet. It can be used for both intimate and large gatherings and has the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 450 guests. Outdoor event space is also offered.
Services offered
The dedicated event staff provides outstanding service and unique decor ideas. The team is happy to work with outside vendors, and the venue offers a fully stocked bar. Cuisine The catering team at the venue can serve meals for 40 to 400 guests. For weddings specifically, the minimum number of guests is 120.
Couples can either choose from the wide range of menus available or create one according to their taste and style. Both plated and buffet meals are served. Some of the catering team's dishes include Thai green chicken curry, baked ham with pineapple confit, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, Chicken Tarragon, and more.

[Anonymous]This venue is incredible unique, and one of a kind. The price (we thought) was right, as we were on a very tight budget for our wedding. They were super nice, and extremely flexible, and quick getting back to us, UNTIL we signed our contract (that according to our wedding planner) wasn't much of a contract. When we asked if there were any hidden fees, they assured us that there were not. Unfortunately, there were MANY hidden fees. If you would like more than one option for appetizer, the price goes up $2.50 PER app, and if you want more than one option for an entree, the price goes up $4.00 PER entree. They also told me that there was a charge for a ceremony onsite eventhough we already paid to rent the entire venue for the day, aka you will pay to use the grass. They said we could use their chairs for our ceremony outside and to rent chair covers, and only 2 weeks before our wedding, told me that I was not allowed to use the chairs, and that I had to find chairs - keep in mind this is 2 weeks before the wedding. All of these "hidden fees" added up to a total of over 1700 dollars extra - and if you are on a tiny budget like we were - that's a lot of money! They weren't friendly, and weren't flexible at all. I hate being negative, but I don't want to have any bride or groom going through a meltdown like we did 2 weeks before our wedding scrambling to find chairs for our wedding!
Because I can't be completely negative, the food was good (not very hot but good) and they have a great beer selection.
