Jim took all the stress away when it came to planning our nuptials. He was accommodating and caring. His warm sense of humour and professionalism guided us through the ceremony, making it a day we will always remember. He even had Kleenex on hand for the groom. What makes Jim absolutely wonderful to work with is his professionalism, charisma, and clear instructions. From our first contact via email until the end of our wedding ceremony, Jim made sure the process of the ceremony went smoothly. We always felt assured that we made the right choice with Jim and even got compliments from our guests of how great he was. He provided instructions for obtaining the marriage licence and certificate which helped tremendously. We had the pleasure of Jim officiating our wedding at The Manor on June 23, 2023. We had officially found Jim through our venue as we weren’t sure what direction we wanted to go in and as soon as we met with Jim it felt like the right choice. He had the perfect simple ceremony and was accommodating to any changes we wanted to make (ie. writing our own vows) and even the day before when we ended up not writing our own vows he was already prepared for us. He was very kind, accommodating and gave us all the information we needed ahead of time. There’s enough space for me to write everything great about Jim in this little review!

Jim spent an hour with us discussing the procedures, things to bring, script and cues beforehand, which we have found very helpful.
Jim was also very responsive, thorough and has right amount of humour. The day went smoothly without any hiccups, and we think having an experienced officiant certainly helps.
Only minus is Jim doesn’t normally do rehearsals, but that’s hardly a dealbreaker.

Jim was an excellent officiant! His ceremony script is beautiful and adds those few little funny moments in to break the tension. He went through the whole ceremony with us when we met with him the first time and broke everything down so we knew exactly what to expect. I would recommend Jim to anyone looking for an officiant. Jim was great to work with - everything from the planning to the execution! He was also soooo patient with me and never said no to a phone call. He was a great officiant and we are so grateful that he made our day one to remember! Thank you Jim for everything! We highly recommend!

Jim is quite simply amazing. After researching a couple of officiant options, Jim was the first officiant we called and knew we didn’t need to call any others. Right from the beginning he was a straight shooter, gave us tips, assigned us tasks and was so easy to talk with. He was kind, asked questions to get to know us, took notes as we spoke and had the personality, we knew would be perfect for our wedding ceremony. This only continued after we hired him as leading up to our wedding day Jim had great communication and was very clear on the whole process which gave us one less thing to have to worry about. Planning a wedding is a large undertaking as is and doing it during a Global Pandemic makes it a little more challenging, but he gave us the peace of mind that made a world of difference when it mattered most.
The day of, he showed up on time, walked the groom through the next steps, delivered a perfect ceremonial speech and was even aware and helpful when it came to photography/videography.
His signature “move” is that he doesn’t officiate in front of the couple as you would traditionally see, but rather he stands in front of the groomsmen so that the couple faces their guests (see images for reference). He said this does two things – allows guests to see you (which they are there to do) versus staring at the backs of our heads, and it allows for better photographs of the couple. He was right – it was perfect! In addition to those reasons, it also allows the bride and groom to take in the moment and look out at all of their loved ones. Guests commented afterwards about what a lovely ceremony it all was – the meaning behind the words, the funny comments and overall great delivery. My Husband and I were absolutely overjoyed at the whole experience Jim gifted us.
