Modern Romance Productions is a full-time wedding studio based in Vancouver, BC that has grown exponentially to include talented photographers and videographers. The style is photojournalistic, cinematic, and storytelling magic. The award-winning team was founded in 2010, but has worked on over 200 weddings combined. In 2012, the team won Best Wedding Cinematography by BC Wedding Awards. In 2013, the team was awarded Best New Cinematographer in Vancouver and in BC. 2015 allowed the team to be one of the three finalists for Best Edited Wedding Video Award by Professional BC Wedding Awards. These are only a few of the milestones the team has already reached.

Wedding cinematography is completely customized, considering every wedding is unique like the couple themselves. Ceremony, pre-ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner can be attended. For weddings, all the services listed are offered:

How they work
You can book a free consultation with the videographers. The final video format includes Blu-ray and digital download. You can also be given a USB flash drive or USB hard drive with your beautiful wedding film.

Amazing experience!
The MORO team were so friendly and professional! My ceremony could not have gone smoother thanks to their organization and skill! Ruby and Andrew are amazing photographers and my pictures came out looking wonderful. They're one of the best in the business!

The Modern Romance team did an incredible job of shooting our special day! I'm absolutely delighted with the final results, and have been very impressed with the responsiveness, efficiency, and creativeness of the team. I requested a last-minute change to the schedule, to add an extra location; the team were more than happy to make an adjustment and confirmed the change with the photographers within moments. Overall, I was very impressed by the communication and professionalism of the team; they managed to be in multiple areas at once, without impacting the flow of our ceremony. Thank you for being part of our magical day, and for capturing moments that we will cherish forever!

Highly Recommend
My wife and I consulted Modern Romance Productions well ahead of our wedding date, and enlisted their photography services for both an engagement shoot, and the wedding itself. From the get go, it was very obvious that we were going to be treated in a personable, but also professional manner. Communication was fantastic throughout the process, the engagement shoot was intimate and comfortable, and at every step of the way, Ruby and her team made it clear that our wedding was important to them, and not merely a job. They were non-intrusive, made everyone feel comfortable, and the photos look great. We would both highly recommend Modern Romance to any couple.

Excellent team and video
I met Ru from Modern Romance as I work in the wedding industry as a makeup and hair artist. Meeting many vendors and seeing their work, I was at a better position to decide who I wanted to do my videography. I am so happy with my decision! I loved my wedding video with the edit! They chose the perfect highlights of my wedding to show. They completed it quickly and I was able to bring it to show in my reception in Asia. It was such a pleasure working with them!

Words cannot begin to describe how fortunate we feel to have selected
Modern Romance for our photo, video, and photo booth wedding needs. We met
with many vendors including referrals and other well-known options but
after meeting with Ruby, we knew our search was over.
Fast forward eleven months and not only are we happy, but we feel fortunate to have secured Modern Romance. Every interaction along the journey was responsive, thoughtful and constantly met with our needs in mind. The epitome of
customer service is demonstrated here. We will cherish all the smiles and
laughter shared throughout the past year for the rest of our lives.
As for the quality of work, the turnaround to every service far exceeded our
expectations. If it sounds like I’m gushing, it’s because I am. You can’t

We aren't photography experts, so the best way for us to describe why we decided to work with Modern Romance in the first place was that we felt the artistic style and direction suited us best. They have original and unique ideas which was refreshing to us and were willing to accommodate our suggestions.
We received the services of two engagement shoots and wedding photography from Modern Romance and found the staff to be extremely professional and well-organized at all three events. Ruby doesn't hesitate to take difficult shots even if they require some advance planning and coordination. In the end, we are very happy with the fantastic, high quality pictures we got from our wedding and our engagement courtesy of Ruby and her team.

Incredibly Fantastic Team!
Wow, Ruby and her team were beyond fantastic! From the moment we first sat down with Ruby and Cedric, we knew we had made the right choice by picking their team to capture our ideal wedding image. Their professional team made it easy and stress-free to work with. Their creativity was mind blowing and their execution was flawless! The video was amazing, and their pictures really captured our best moments throughout the day. You can easily tell how experienced this team is, by how quickly they can resolve any challenges we came across. Their team was incredibly respectful and resourceful. I just hope I wasn’t a big pain in the a** for their lovely team deal with on that day. Selecting Ruby, Cedric and their team as our Photographers/Videographers was one of the best choices we made for our wedding.…besides saying “I Do”.
