Kim was amazing!

We met Kim about two years ago before COVID hit and we were excited to have her as our officiant from day 1. After we had to postpone multiple times we decided to go ahead with a small family ceremony instead of waiting to see where the world was going to be. We met with Kim again and even after long delays and disappointments due to COVID, the excitement for our day was re-kindled immediately. Her personalized ceremony was perfect! We could not have asked for anything more. She captured both of our individual personalities and our love story perfectly. She was there for us every step of the way, guided us through these crazy COVID times and helped make our day amazing. I can't say enough about Kim and hope we get a chance in the future to work with her again.

Beautiful Custom Ceremony that truly Made our Day!

Kim was very professional and incredibly kind. She counselled us through our pre-wedding jitters and gave us some amazing and truly inspiring advice. Kim was well spoken, friendly and accommodating, writing a beautiful custom ceremony for us. We consider ourselves blessed to have found her.

Kim was very helpful in giving us options for the cremony. We decided on the knot tying which was something unique that wasn't very traditional and we knew it would be different. She was also very accommodating to our schedule as it was a hectic day and we were behind.

Kim was very nice to work with. We think we got good value for what we paid. She spent a lot of time with us to work on our vows with us. When we realized we did not have a Master of Ceremonies organized she stepped right into the role. She had a manner about her that was warm and engaging. We would highly recommend her.

Kim is friendly, genuine, and professional. Our personalized wedding ceremony written by Kim was beautiful and lovely. Our guests felt the ceremony was touching. We love how she incorporated our love story and two rituals, including unity candle and unity sand ceremonies, and included our parents in the wedding ceremony. She even gave us helpful marriage advice afterwards. If you are looking for a wedding officiant who can customize your wedding ceremony with a very reasonable price, Kim is your best choice!

We loved our ceremony with Kim. Since we talked to her on the phone we connected with her. Through our conversation and with several emails we were able to give her all the feedback we thought would be helpful for her to know us better and get the idea of the wedding we wanted. She was always very responsive and flexible. She picked beautiful literature quotes that represented us. Kim has a beautiful voice and her presence commands authority yet with a nice, warm demeanor.

Kim did an amazing job helping Kelly and me create a personalized wedding ceremony, just specially for us. The knot tying ritual was perfect as a commitment to our married life and our family. It was easy and Kim was very flexible from day one. Three very young children participated in the ceremony and Kim made sure that they all had fun!

Kim has a knack for making things unique and meaningful without it feeling "over the top". We wanted our ceremony to have meaning but not necessarily be religious. Our goal was to have it feel spiritual and special, unique to us, and not a cookie cutter speech reading. It was important to us to have our guests sharing the day with us, and we wanted to ensure they knew how meaningful it was as our ceremony and special day was as much about them as it was about us, and Kim captured that. I have recommended Kim many times over.

We really liked Kim's take on our wedding ceremony. There was enough tradition, sentimentality and ritual without it being too formal. It was exactly what we wanted, a meaningful, personalised ceremony just for us.

Kim was born in Toronto, raised in Vancouver and she and her husband Jack settled in Steveston in 1997. At age 17, she started writing poetry and prose and has always been fed by that creative part of herself. She is an inspiring storyteller weaving and drawing vivid pictures to be treasured.

In 2008, Kim officiated as the Celebrant for a wedding of good friends of hers. The penny dropped! When she became aware of the Celebrant profession, it was like vision meets opportunity! After eight months of intensive training through the Celebrant Institute and Foundation Kim became fully qualified to create and perform ceremonies. The union of a couple, before witnesses is not only important but is a treasured memory to last a lifetime.

Kim has owned her own business as well as worked for a number of organizations as a successful sales representative, coach and manager. Kim went back to school and in 2010 graduated with honors and a Diploma in Adult Education.

“I have always enjoyed the interaction between people, how they express themselves and how we all communicate to describe ourselves and tell our stories. Ceremony plants this seed in fertile soil. The celebration of a birth, a wedding or a life transition is precious and worth taking the time to mark. I look forward to meeting you and co-creating your celebration. I love what I do and am honored to contribute to you and make your magic moments memorable.”
