The perfect micro venue

I found out about Tin Poppy through someone I follow on Instagram, and when I found myself planning a "micro" wedding it was the first place I thought of! I inquired about 18 months ahead, and Maggie helped me choose the right package for my group size and preferences. I found Cahoots (Spencer) for catering which ended up being SO good. He had catered there before so was familiar with the setup and we created a custom menu which was what we wanted. I also rented dishes and cutlery from him so that we cut down on what dishes we had to do! I decided to bring my own officiant and photographer - but those are usually included in the package. All the decor was beautiful, and the florals were rustic and fit the venue. The ceremony site was decorated simply but perfectly. The cake was gluten-free and also very delish - multiple people said it was the best dinner/cake they had at a wedding. Our coordinator put everything together behind the scenes and I didn't feel the need to micromanage one bit! We had a couple of small hiccups (table stability and running out of solar power) but both were dealt with promptly by the owner and coordinator. I honestly wouldn't change a thing. Our day was perfect and the day was so relaxing! Our wedding took place late June, 2023!

Tin Poppy was Magical!

I was so happy to find and book Tin Poppy for our intimate wedding in the beginning of 2020 and then as the 2020 pandemic hit, I was even more thrilled that we had booked with them! They took so much off my shoulders, not having to think about the flowers, finding the commissioner, the photographer, and the cake was a big relief during all the crazy unpredictable times. We showed up and had the most magical ceremony I could have ever dreamed up.

Tin Poppy Retreat

Tin Poppy is the perfect place to have a small intimate wedding! The Lavender Cabin was beautiful and Maggie was amazing to work with! We had seven weeks to plan a wedding and Maggie made the whole process stress free! She was always quick to respond to emails and was very accommodating to all our specific requests. We have nothing but good things to say about Tin Poppy!!

Everything we could want

What can we say about our elopement at Tin Poppy? It was everything we could want and more! The package we chose included two nights in Lavender House, a gift basket with some local goodies that were SO delicious! My bouquet, his boutonniere and a beautiful simple cake! Also an amazing officiant and photographer. We added a dinner on top of it and it was packaged neatly in the fridge when we arrived. Maggie was so attentive and got back to us for our many questions very fast. We would recommend this venue to anyone who would like a stress free, cozy wedding in the beautiful Larch Hills near Salmon Arm BC. We are not local but will definitely make the trip back -maybe in the summer when there's less snow- to enjoy the area again!

Incredible home away from home!

WOW! What a beautiful place to elope or have a micro-wedding. I cant begin to explain how grateful we are for Maggie's attention to detail and service we received from her in the past year. From booking to venue, to accommodating the reverend, food and amazing photographer - she made it all comprehensive and easy. All of our guests were blown away by the location as well as each of the beautifully unique cabins. Everything is so secluded, you feel comfortable from beginning to end. We will be coming back to Tin Poppy time and time again, i see a new annual tradition amongst our friends and family. Thank you from all of us at the Tweedie wedding! Our weekend was nothing short of perfection.

Everything top notch.

My husband and I just loved this location. The scenery was so breathtaking, nothing can compare with the views of thw valley below. Plus the handmade bouquets where so charming and perfect! I loved the basket they had given us full of local treats, they where all delicious and I will most deffbe buying more of them. And the keepsakes where also very cute and well suited for us.

We cannot wait to go back when its winter to use the saunas included with the cabins. If your ever thinking if this location I highly reccomend. Even if your not getting married there are ski hills and a winery extemely close.

This place will not disappoint!!!

Perfect Rustic Luxury

We loved the Tin Poppy for our sweet, small wedding. Long ago, I think we both realized that our wedding day was to be about the start of our marriage and not creating a big, stressful event. This led us to our choice to escape to the woods and tie the knot. Our entire weekend was about relaxing together, and our wedding was about our durable and caring relationship and as we "glamped" with the mosquitoes, it was so clear that the space was perfectly "us."

We both have busy, full lives and I so appreciated that every detail was beautifully thought out; all we brought was our wedding outfits, the rings, and the paperwork - the rest was all done. We were wed, photographed and changed into our cozy sweats with champagne in hand in under 90 minutes, and the rest of the weekend was just easy and fun.

February Elopement

The Tin Poppy is a beautiful place for eco friendly bride and grooms thinking of eloping or having a fuss free micro wedding. The views and property are absolutely breathtaking. The organic food provided is top quality (you can special request vegan or gluten free). Maggie is wonderful to work with, she really made our elopement easy and fuss free.

In the elopement package we chose it came with an amazing officiant, a very talented photographer, glorious flowers and decorations, delicious wedding cake and our meals. It was truly fuss free and easy to plan in a short time frame. I think the value and worth is truly there for the cost.

My only suggestion is that if booking in the winter book one of the larger cabins or the Lavender House. We eloped in the Tin Poppy which would have been amazing in the Spring to Fall but we found it a tad chilly for our February elopement. We of course we made the best of it and still enjoyed cozying up. There is also a lot of snow, it somewhat deters from being able to explore unless on skis or snow shoes but it is magical all the same.

My Husband and I are planning on returning here for a summer reception. It is truly a magically scenic place where any nature loving bride and groom would be completely and utterly satisfied. A unique and truly beautiful experience.

Thank you Maggie!!
